"Frag Station" is a single level for Doom 1. Unfortunately it's one of these old levels where no consistent style has been adopted. I guess overall it was a base style level, as industrial textures were most common. However there were areas with wood, stone, and high-tech texturing. There are some nice features, and not a bad level of detail for a level this old, but the lack of style overall spoilt it.
The patchy design extends to the level layout too; areas are joined together with lifts and stairs, without much planning it seemed. Basically you wander round until you find the key needed to exit. There are some good fights, but plenty of health and ammo. Not many traps or secrets. Some shoot through walls too :-(.
Like so many old levels, some nice ideas, but lacking in planning and consistency.
