Wow. I really need to start reading text files before I download wads. Otherwise, I could have avoided the five seconds wasted on playing this tripe.
Your standard big square box with a Cyberdemon
level, only somehow, the
author managed to fit in a gigantic HOM into these four 90
degree walls. Perusing the text file afterwards, it states:
A cyberdemon has escaped from a lab, where they are trying to find his weakness. He was injured by a marine, which was made short work of, and he was trapped inside a illusio-pit.
illusio-pit, n. synonym for gigantic Hall of Mirrors error in DOOM, most commonly utilized by bad level designers to explain the fact that they can't figure out how to texture walls.
In the wad's defense, the text file clearly states that it is your standard "find the cyberdemon and kill it" level. I didn't read it and am probably as much to blame for playing it as the author was for designing it. Hard to believe that after five years of DOOM editting, levels like this still get released.
Closing note: DOOM, as I exitted this remarkable level, spat at me:
I wouldn't leave if I were you. DOS is much worse.
Nothing is worse. Trust me.
