screenshot "Justify v1.1" is a large level for Doom 2. The level has a very organic feel; while the core of the level is a stone and cement base, there are lots of features like the blood river, curving staircases, organic textures and windows into the many outdoor areas, which mean this level avoids feeling too rectangular. The many windows between areas and the river help tie the level together. Also there are many stylish features, like the lighting, and the way keydoors were marked (a keycard of the right colour behind bars next to the door.

The gameplay is good also. The fights are helped by the interesting architecture; ammo is limited, so it's a good idea to get them fighting each other. There are lots of good traps, but I can say more: the great thing is the fact that so many varieties are used so well. Sometimes a block lowers behind you and monsters are released near you; other times monsters are released further away and wander up and surprise you; other times monsters are teleported to attack you.

It's a fairly long level, but the level progression is good; it's very non-linear, but I rarely had to think long about where to go next. There are some good secrets to look for as well.

The final area is particularly good. While the monsters in the rest of the level were mostly the smaller enemies, the final area is a showdown, with several archvilles, revenants and other enemies on ledges, all under the night sky. You have to beat each ledge in turn, getting them fighting each other where possible, and keeping an eye out for wandering cacos and mancubi. To summarise, this is one to play.
